June 20, 2010 The Oceanside Generals are very pleased to announce the following player signings Brett Willsie- 1991 forward from Nanoose Bay- Brett has the whole package, skill toughness and is a natural leader we have very high expectations of what Brett can bring to our team Travis Briggs-1992 forward from Nanaimo, Travis is a big power forward who was the Captain of the Nanaimo Midget AAA team last year. He also played games with us last year as an AP. Travis will be a great addition Luccianno Sommerville- 1993 Centre from Port Alberni, Luccianno is a skilled playmaking centre that was also an AP for us last year. He will be looked upon to give us secondary scoring and a strong defensive contribution. Kolding Larson- 1993 Goaltender from Nanaimo, Kolding played for the North Island Silvertips last year and has been an AP for the last 2 seasons with us. We are very confident that Kolding will challenge for the starting position. Joel Issigonis- 1993 right winger from North Vancouver, Joel is a product of the North Shore Winter Club and is a smooth skating forward that lead all scoring in rookie camp. He has good size and will be looked upon to bring secondary offense and a strong commitment to the defensive side of the puck. Ryan Heathfield- 1993 Defenseman from North Vancouver, Ryan is another North Shore Winter Club graduate, Ryan is a puck moving defenseman that plays with an edge and will keep teams on their toes. We are very happy with the quality of our spring camp and are very excited about the players that we have signed. We expect all of these players to play significant roles on our team.
