The Oceanside Generals players, coaches, staff, as well as the Board of Directors wish to give a very special “ Thank You ” to all our sponsors, fans, and volunteers for your dedicated support of a team that Oceanside can very proudly call its own. Our purpose is to represent our community to the best of our ability and putting a Championship Trophy inside Oceanside Place has put our community in the spotlight of Provincial Junior Hockey. And all because of the generosity of everyone here in Oceanside.

     The Oceanside Generals are committed to a program of excellence in both athletic and academic success. The Generals Organization has just come off their most successful season by winning the 2009 VIJHL Championship and a Bronze Medal in the Cyclone Taylor Cup held this past April in Richmond, B.C. They have promoted numerous players to the next level of their academic and athletic careers.

     To ensure that the Junior Hockey Program continues to be successful in Oceanside we are very pleased to have re-signed Dave Johnston to continue as our Head Coach/General Manager. Coach Johnston has a stellar reputation in player development and has had numerous players promoted to the various levels of hockey.

     From a financial point of view our operating budget has doubled over the last six years and the product on the Ice has been directly affected by this increase in spending - over ninety percent of which was spent locally. We feel that our contribution financially to the community can be augmented in the future with other special events that bring out of town visitors and new opportunities for our business sector in these difficult economic times. Despite that our corporate sponsors including our Title Sponsor, Save On Foods, have met the challenge and have joined forces with Generals through creative partnerships.

     So when the puck drops in September the race will be on early and the Generals ’ goal will be to provide a very competitive team in the VIJHL, through the playoffs and onto the 2010 Cyclone Taylor Cup Championship! Thank you Oceanside!!! Our organization is YOUR team and you too are Champions!
